November 29, 2011

You want cake. You want chocolate.

Your kids  are coming home from school in 20 minutes.  You do not want to make a cake for them. You are not in the mood for excessive amount of sugar high antics from your children and who wants to share?

Not you. Not today.
Your solution?

Mug. Cake. Chocolate. 2 minutes. That's it!

Eat it quick and enjoy. Your children will never know. :)
Two Minute Mug Cake

by Table for Seven
Prep Time: 00:05
Cook Time: 30 seconds
Ingredients (1 cup cake)
  • 4 TBSP all purpose flour
  • 4 TBSP sugar
  • 3 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 TBSP milk
  • 1 TBSP vegetable oil
  • 2 caramels
  • caramel sauce
Instructions
In a small bowl add: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix to combine.
Pour mixture into a regular sized coffee mug. I sprayed mine with non stick cooking spray first. Drop caramels into center of mixture one at a time.
Microwave on high for one minute and 30 seconds. If needed {if cake batter is still gooey}, microwave on high for up to an additional 30 seconds
Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce and salt, if desired.
