Whew! What a crazy couple of days! The kids have been off school since last Wednesday afternoon, kids had parent/teacher conferences, which means, Mr Plain had parent/teacher conferences, tons of shopping errands to run and yesterday..the most exciting...my sister ran the Chicago Marathon! It was very thrilling to watch thousands of people fulfill something like that. Especially, my sister. I am beyond proud of her :)
So, I must apologize for being absent from the online world for a bit. But, here is a nice snack for you to make up for it. So, did you know that Saltines come in snack size? I was unaware until they caught my eye at the grocery store. There was a lovely quick recipe for these crackers on the box..I changed it a bit by baking them but, it the base is still the same. They are buttery, garlicky and cheesy..an awesome combo and a delicious snack.
{ the garlic dressing mix/butter combo is so tasty..you can use it on bread, plain refrigerator biscuits or any other type of cracker }
4 cups mini Saltines crackers {or any type you prefer}
3-4 TBSP melted butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Mix melted butter with dressing mix. Coat crackers well with dressing mixture. Spread coated crackers on cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly brown.

These look great for some creamy soup, too.
