Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa

We received our first snowfall this week.  Well, I'm not sure calling it a snowfall is accurate.  It's was maybe an inch of snow.  If that.  An inch is a generous prediction.  It's what they like to call 'a dusting' in these parts. This, however, was accompanying by, plummeting temperatures. Yep..they plummeted.  We went from a nice decent 50 degrees to a pretty darn cold 30 degrees in a matter of hours.

Guys..I'm not ready for 30 degrees!  In January? Sure. But, before Thanksgiving?!  I think not. The weather is suppose to warm up by tomorrow, but, for now, I'm drinking hot chocolate by the gallons.  A variety of different kinds including this, can't drink just one mug because it's so delicious, salted caramel.  

It's creamy, sweet and salty all rolled into a warm mug of love.  I'm totally hooked on it and so ready for anymore cold weather.

Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa

Ingredients (1 serving)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 TBSP white chocolate chips
  • 1 TBSP caramel sauce - jarred or homemade, plus additional for topping
  • sprinkle of salt
  • whipped cream
In a small saucepan, warm milk under low heat. Add white chocolate chips and stir until melted.
Pour into mug. Add caramel sauce and stir well.
Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce and sprinkle with salt.
