Easy Bacon Cinnamon Rolls

April 15, 2015
Oh, happy day.
Bacon and cinnamon rolls.

Here's the thing, though.  Can this really be called a recipe?  The cinnamon rolls are not homemade.  They are from (gasp!) a tube.  Yes, the tube.  Is that OK with you guys?  I hope so.

Here's what you do:

Buy yourself a tube a cinnamon rolls. Make sure it's the kind that unroll.  Some don't. {here is mine}

Cook up some bacon.  In a pan, in the oven.  Whatever works for ya'.  Don't let it get too crisp.  You need to be able to roll it.

Unroll your raw cinnamon roll.  Place a slice (or 2) of bacon in the middle of the dough.  Roll it back up. Bacon is now inside dough! Yum.  Repeat with other rolls.

Bake em' up.  Don't forget to frost them with the icing.

Eat them.

Do a happy dance because life is good when you mix bacon with a cinnamon roll.

Again, yum.

Cook bacon strips in oven or skillet. You want them to be done, but, not too crisp. They need to be flexible to roll. After cooking, drain bacon on paper towel.

Preheat oven to cinnamon roll package.

Unroll cinnamon roll raw dough one at a time. Place a slice or two of bacon in dough seam, then, roll it back up. Repeat with remaining rolls.

Bake according to package directions.
