No Churn Blackberry Chip Ice Cream

No ice cream needed for this refreshing spring dessert!
Blackberries are all over the grocery stores in our area. They are loaded up with them and on sale for a great price.  So,what better way to celebrate than to make some ice cream with them?!

This blackberry ice cream is incredibly easy to make and requires just a few simple ingredients and no ice cream maker required. (If you don't have any blackberries on hand, you can substitute with whatever berries you can get you hands on.) Simple and really delicious!

Happy berry season-

Prep Time: 00:25
Ingredients (Serves: 6)
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1½ cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 TBSP water
  • 1 TBSP vanilla
Instructions
Mix blackberries in blender or food processor until pureed. Add in 1 TBSP of water and mix until liquefied.
Drain blackberry puree through mesh sleeve to remove seeds. This is totally optional. If you like seeds, you can simply leave them in.
In a bowl, whisk together blackberry puree, cream, condensed milk, and vanilla.
You can pour the mixture into your ice cream maker, adding in the chopped chocolate as per the manufacturer's instructions. Cover and freeze until desired consistency is reached.
If you don't have an ice cream maker: add same ingredients into your food processor or blender and mix until smooth. Fold in chopped chocolate. Place in a freezer safe bowl, cover, and freeze for 6-8 hours.
