Chicken Alfredo Roll-Ups

Lasagna rolls stuffed with shredded chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce and mozzarella cheese.

I'm so embarrassed. For real.

This post was originally shared back in the day of 2012. I make it quite a bit and use that original post to make it for dinner.  We love this dish. We eat it quite a bit. It, also, when originally shared, one of the most viewed recipes here. Lots of people read it.

Here's the embarrassing part...just last week, when I read the recipe for the hundredth time, I noticed a spelling error. Then, another. Then, another. Ah! I forgot to spell check my post. It was riddled with spelling mistakes. embarrassed.

Now, I know, that it's not the first post this has happened with. My husband tells me it because I type too fast. I think he's right.  I know how to spell, honest. The typing skills part in my brain just moves quicker than the spelling ability in my brain.  So, if you read this before, so sorry for the typos. 

I figured that it was the perfect time to re-visit this classic, share it with some new readers, give the pictures a do-over and just plain old rewrite it. 

The recipe is still a favorite here, still delicious and if you give it a try, it will become a favorite for you too.

We have packed some lasagna shells with homemade Alfredo sauce, shredded chicken and mozzarella cheese.  Then, we top it all off with more sauce and cheese. These do have a few steps to them, but, they are so worth it. Doing a little prep work the days before and using rotisserie chicken helps out making these an easy weeknight meal.  

Use could also use store bought Alfredo sauce, but, I recommend using homemade (recipe below or use your own recipe), it just makes them even better!

Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups


  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried parsley
  • garlic powder, to taste preference
  • 8 dried lasagna noodles
  • 2 1/2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded/chopped chicken
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese


  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add cream. Simmer for approx 5 minutes. Whisk in cheese and garlic powder. Heat thoroughly. Stir parsley.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 in baking dish.
  5. Boil lasagna noodles for 8-10 minutes. Drain noodles and rinse under cold water. This will help from them sticking together.
  6. Spread even amounts of sauce, chicken and cheese on noodles. First, spread sauce, then, chicken and cheese. Approx 1-2 tablespoons of each works well.
  7. Roll up lasagna noodle carefully and place seam side down in prepared dish. Pour remaining Alfredo sauce on completed roll ups in pan.
  8. Top with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Yield: 8

Prep Time: 00 hrs. 30 mins.

Cook time: 00 hrs. 30 mins.

Total time: 60 mins.

  15. These are delicious!!! I cooked 2 cloves of minced garlic in the butter for the Alfredo sauce and then followed all the other directions as written...this was a HIT with my family!!! I will make this again!!!
