We are huge pasta eaters at my house. Huge.Ginormous.

barilla pasta

It’s so convenient and always easy on the wallet.  I mean..do you see my above picture? Barilla Pasta at my local Jewel (Albertsons) store was only $1.00!

Friends, I stocked up.

The big difference between my kids and me when it comes to pasta is the dish itself. They are content with a plain bowl of pasta with sauce, which is good, but, I like to shake things up at times and add some more flavors to the mix.

making of Creamy Alfredo Chorizo Pasta

This is a really easy to dish to prepare and takes no time at all to make:

  • First, boil your Barilla Penne pasta according to the box instructions. Drain it and set aside.
  • Next, in a large skillet, cook the spicy chorizo sausage until no longer pink. Be sure your skillet is oven safe!
  • Then, add in Alfredo sauce, taco sauce and salsa. Finally, add in the cooked pasta and stir in Parmesan cheese and bake.

That’s it! Dinner will be ready in about an hour.

This Creamy Alfredo Chorizo Pasta is a really great weeknight meal. Simple and quick, but, with a great fusion of flavors all packed into one dish.
