Chocolate Berry Fondue from Table for Seven

A chocolate lovers dream!  Dunk your favorite dessert in this fun, decadent fondue.

Many, many years ago, for one of my bridal shower gifts, I received a fondue maker.  I loved it and made tons of fun dips and fondue ever since. Including this one.

Sadly, after much use, it finally gave out and wouldn't work anymore. ☹

I enjoyed the first one so much, I decided to get myself a new one.

I've made my cheese fondue in this one and this newest chocolate fondue in my new fondue maker.  I love them both. The fondue and the pot.  The fondue is a creamy chocolaty dream with a sweet hint of berry flavor to it.

You can dunk fruit, pound cake, brownies, cookies in this fondue. It will be delicious with just about anything!

As for the fondue pot..I love it so much, I'm giving one away!

Chocolate Berry Fondue

by Table for Seven
Prep Time: 00:15
Ingredients (Serves: 10-12)
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries, thawed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
In a blender or food processor, puree berries and vanilla until smooth.
Drain puree through a mesh sleeve to remove seeds. Remove 1/3 cup of puree and set aside. Place any remaining puree in refrigerator or freezer for future use.
Add whipping cream to fondue pot and increase temperature a medium setting. You want your whipping cream to bubble slightly, but, not at a full boil.
Gradually, add in chocolate chips , about 1/2 cup at a time. Each time you add more chocolate, be sure it melts fully before adding another.
Stir in 1/3 cup of berry puree into melted chocolate
Keep fondue pot on a low heat level while serving, to keep chocolate warm.
Serve with pound cake, fruit, brownies or cookies.
